What makes us different
- ADIBHUMI( National Adivasi Alliance-East Zone) has come into existence in the year 2007 after the birth of National Adivasi Andolan and National Adivasi Alliance in 2006 at Jangalhadi ,Karnatak, India with a likeminded 9 organisations from four states (i.e-Chhatishgarh, Jhadkhand, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh ).
- The network started to campaign to get the Forest Rights Act (FRA) passed in the Parliament of India, which approved it in December 2006. Since then the main focus of the network has been the implementation of the rights of Adivasi on the tenure of forest lands which they have traditionally used and conserved as their homes and livelihood sources. Management
- Partnership and Alliance strengthening.
- Advocacy and Lobbying for Ensuring Adivasi Rights (including media advocacy).
- Forest Rights Act- Individual Forest Rights and mostly Community Forest Resource Rights campaign to ensure tenure and other rights over their community forest resources.
- Strengthening of people movement through trainings on FRA and Follow up of program and Distribution of eco friendly and long durable plants to the communities and monitoring the maintenance of the plants.read more...
